February 2026 (Winter Collection)

Theme:

Sacred Pause. Embracing the Power of Stillness.

pink tea cup

Clay:

Speckled BMix: an enchanting stoneware with beautiful sparkles that look like the glistening snow. I chose this one not only because it reminds me of the sparkles from the snow moon but also because February is my birthday month and so I’m choosing some of my favorites “just because it’s my birthday month” and speckled bmix has been a favorite of mine since discovering her a few years ago.

Glazes (each cup will come in 1 of these 5 glazes):

Glazes (each cup will come in 1 of these 4 glazes):

Pink (my favorite color)

Tuning In
I like to use the full and new moons as gentle reminders to pause and check in with myself. I’m often going, going, going — so I love knowing that at least twice a month I’ll take the time to slow down and reflect with a longer tea session.

You definitely don’t have to choose the moon phases, but for me they help me feel more connected to nature’s cycles and more present in my day-to-day life. I also enjoy exploring the themes associated with each moon in astrology. Even if astrology isn’t really your thing, the symbolism still offers beautiful messages, prompts for reflection, and ideas you can use to create a themed ritual.

Full Moon (time of culmination, release & emotional climax):

SNOW MOON

Radiant heart fire in the deep of winter. This snow moon carries the paradox of inner fire blazing beneath a frozen world. It asks you to remember who you are when no one is watching- and to let that truth shine! Claim your light, even in stillness. Not the performative fire, but sovereign warmth- the steady glow of self-trust, creativity, and heart led courage.

New Moon (new beginnings, setting an intention):

Aquarius February 17, 2026

This one is extra juicy because it coincides with an annular solar eclipse.

Aquarius emphasizes new beginnings on the collective and social plane. It gives you a fresh start to figure out how you want to relate to community. Think- how can I express my unique voice while contributing to the whole.

Plant:

Violet. Since moving to North Carolina in 2020, this purple beauty has quickly become one of my favorite plants. My birthstone is amethyst, which has given me a lifelong soft spot for all things purple. So when I discovered this sweet—and powerful—plant popping up all over my lawn one February morning, I was instantly hooked.

My daughter and I would hike near our home at a magical spot called Bailey Mountain, pausing often to “stop and smell the violets”—one of my many lessons as a mom. More recently, I’ve been diving into the medicinal qualities of plants and discovered that violets are not only beautiful, but also an incredible source of nutrients. Bonus: they can even be used as a no-mow ground cover.

Stone:

Amethyst.

It is February’s birthstone and is the stone of stillness, clarity and quiet devotion. It teaches how to remain centered while life moves through you.

Mantra

I pause. I reflect. I emerge renewed.

Journal Prompt

The snowmoon is about stillness and quiet power. This is the time we do the real work, the sweet spot where clarity resides. You’re like a seed gathering strength beneath the surface-  unseen growth. Take the extra time for yourself during these journal prompts. Maybe just read the prompt, drink some tea and sleep on it. See what your dreams have to say- embrace the stillness. To begin, get comfortable, maybe light a candle to represent the light of the snow moon. Close your eyes and Take a few deep breaths. Envision the snow moon glowing softly above, illuminating a snow landscape.

  • What does stillness feel like in my body right now.

  • I feel most at peace when?

  • Where in life do I need to withdraw and rest?

  • What am I protecting or nurturing quietly, beneath the surface? Reflect if this is something you want to empower or release.

  • What truths or realizations are coming to light in this quiet moment?

  • How can I bring clarity and calm into my life?

  • What gentle steps can I take toward renewal or growth?

Herbal Blend

  • My favorite everyday blend has to be this one! I fall in love with this combination every time I make a cup. Sometimes I add a squeeze of lemon with honey and milk for an extra treat!

  • Blend:

    • Chamomile (40%)

    • Dandelion Bark (25%)

    • Peppermint (20%)

    • Fresh Ginger (15%)

  • This herbal combo is a great support for digestion (think tummy tamer!), reduces inflammation (so your body doesn’t need to work so hard) and calms the nervous system (who doesn’t need that?). It  can be used anytime of day and I particularly enjoy it after a meal. All of these herbs are also considered to have highly safe profiles making it one I also share with the family.

Spirit Pet

A tea pet or spirit pet is a small clay figurine that sits on your tea table as you sip your tea. In Chinese folklore, households often honored small domestic spirits by inviting them to share a cup of tea with them. This was not only a way to honor this unique spirit but also to invoke the unique qualities of that specific tea pet. This month's theme is the GROUNDHOG. The groundhog represents hibernation, reflection and inner work. These burrow dwellers remind us to protect our sacred space and set healthy boundaries. I chose the groundhog not only because I live in the US and we celebrate the silly holiday of Groundhog’s Day but also because it was my mom and dad’s anniversary and it makes me smile to think of them being married at a quiet courthouse wedding on what would become one of their favorite movies- “Groundhog’s Day” and how marriage mirrors this idea of choosing to stay over and over and over again even if sometimes it feels familiar and mundane. I find it very powerful to find comfort and quiet in this.
