About the event
WHEN:
The Full Moon, Mon May 12
@ 6pm - 8:30pm
WHAT:
A creative gathering to honor the moon. Together we will share organic snacks and tea while learning a new technique or ritual for connecting with the moon. Every month will provide a new theme with sweet take home creations including tea blends, ceramics, paper making, book binding, essential oil kits, yoga and dance. This is an ever evolving workshop filled with great discussions, connections and magic.
The moon this month is called the FLOWER MOON or FLOWER KILLING MOON. There is a incredible film by Martin Scorsese, “Killers of the Flower Moon”. The title is a metaphor for the exploitation and victimization of the Osage Nation during the 1920’s. The Osage Nation refer to May as the “flower-killing moon” because the blooming flowers are eventually crowded out by taller plants.
